About

Doug Griffin has been on a mission to create safe communities for those struggling with Substance Use Disorder since his daughter, Courtney, died from a fentanyl overdose at just 20 years old.

Doug wrote a letter to the President and was invited to be a guest at the State of the Union Address where Biden referenced Griffin in the audience, saying, "He told us he wants to start a journey toward American recovery. Doug, we're with you. Fentanyl is killing more than 70,000 Americans a year." The message and call to action generated a bipartisan standing ovation.

Doug is the President of Seacoast Digital Computers, Inc. as well as the owner of his own flower shop, The Green Griffin. He was the the Senior Director of State Chapters with the Addiction Policy Forum, where he managed 20 state chapters from Maine to Hawaiia. He is well-connected with many nonprofits and is constantly advocating and working towards his ultimate goal of creating recovery friendly communities.
